The autographs were obtained by a fan on 28 October 1963, when THE BEATLES attended a HALF HOUR only mid-afternoon record signing at the WALDELE Music Store, in Boras, Sweden, in advance of giving a ONE ONLY evening performance at Borashallen, Boras. The fan who attended the record signing at the store asked all Four Beatles to sign her HARDBACK Swedish/English School Textbook on the introduction page, measuring 8 1/4" (21 cm) x 5 1/2" (14 cm), and they happily obliged! As you will see from the detailed scans provided, this is very ATTRACTIVE set of all Four Beatles Signatures who have signed their full names - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. All four signatures are UNHURRIED, VERY NICELY PROPORTIONED and CLEAR. Paul McCartney has added a 'x' beneath his signature. The fan has added the words '28 Okt-63 - BEATLES' at the top of the page. To complete the picture also included is a hand written letter from the fan outlining how she obtained the autographs. There are also Five UNPUBLISHED black and white photographs of The Beatles, taken by the fan, who had the foresight to photograph The Beatles as a Group sitting at the table where they were signing, and also took the opportunity to take individual shots, one of each Beatle. The Hardback Textbook is fully intact. The Autographed page is in FINE condition, with NO tearing or creasing. When a nervous fan, armed with THE BEATLES First two UK Singles 'Love Me Do' and 'Please Please Me', took her chance, UNINVITED, and knocked on Paul's front door at 20 Forthlin Road, Liverpool. She was very politely received by Paul, his father and his brother Mike. They chatted for a while before Paul kindly signed BOTH singles! ……Can you imagine how she must have felt, she must have been shaking all over with excitement and nerves!! Paul was obviously very comfortable with the signing, as both autographs are CLEAR, UNHURRIED, and PERFECTLY FORMED, with NO smudging or fading to the ink. Both Vinyl discs show scratches and wear, there is a ˝" crack to the edge of the 'Love Me Do' 45, but this obviously does not detract from the overall IMPRESSIVE condition of the signatures. In our professional opinion this is an IMPORTANT and ONE OFF piece of Beatles history, which will obviously not be repeated.
